Integration Provides SureStep® Meter Users with Multi-Analyte
Information Management Solution for Point-of-Care Testing
CHARLOTTESVILLE,
VA - February 22, 2002
- LifeScan, Inc. and Medical Automation Systems have announced
the development of a strategic partnership to jointly develop
and market the integration of the MAS RALS®-Plus information
management system with Lifescan's DataLink™.
This partnership
between two industry leaders makes LifeScan’s SureStep® Flexx
and SureStep® Pro Hospital Systems part of an independent
bi-directional, connectivity solution for the transfer of
glucose data between the point of care and the laboratory/health
information system (LIS or HIS).
In addition, this
system provides data management capabilities for a wide range of
other POC analytes, including coagulation, blood
gas/electrolytes, hematology, blood chemistry and
non-instrumented tests.
