Microsoft Security Bulletin Update

July 2007

  • The monthly Microsoft security updates for July 2007 were released on Tuesday July 10, 2007. 

  • Six security updates were released, addressing 11 separate issues in supported Windows operating systems and related components. 

  • The July bulletin includes MS07-036, MS07-39, and MS07-040 which Microsoft rates a “critical” level; MS07-037, and MS07-041 which is rated at an “important” level; and MS07-038 which Microsoft rates at a “moderate” level.

  • MAS has tested the MS Critical patches and found no adverse affects on the RALS System. 

  • These patches may be applied by IT/IRM in consultation with POC users at the customer’s discretion.

*** NOTE: Since Microsoft has ended support for Windows NT based systems; the potential for the following vulnerabilities to affect Windows NT based systems was not addressed or reviewed nor was any patch provided by Microsoft for NT systems. ***
