Microsoft Security Bulletin Update

December 2006

The monthly Microsoft security updates for December were released on 12/12/2006. There are 7 updates addressing 11 separate issues in supported Windows operating systems and related components. The December bulletin includes MS06-072, MS06-073, and MS06-078 which Microsoft rates at a “critical” level; and MS06-074 through MS06-077 which Microsoft rates at an “important” level.

MAS has tested the MS patch listed below and found no adverse effects on the RALS System.  This patch may be applied by IT/IRM in consultation with POC users at the customer’s discretion.  Additional updates for the month of December will be regression tested as warranted by reviews of future Microsoft updates. Should the user apply the patches prior to this testing, MAS cannot guarantee or warrant its operation or impact on the RALS system.
