MAS Names Mark Hoffman
Mid-Atlantic Regional Business Manager

Charlottesville, VA – September 12, 2006 - Medical Automation Systems, Inc. (MAS) announces the appointment of Mark Hoffman, MBA as Regional Business Manager for the Mid-Atlantic area of the United States – a territory that includes Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, and Washington DC.

Mark comes to MAS from Roche Diagnostics, where during his 10 years there, held various sales and marketing positions including Account Manager – Physician/Hospital in Diabetes Care, Sales Training – Diabetes Care Hospital, Associate Product Manger – Hospital IT, and Marketing Manager – Brand Management for Roche’s Point-of-Care Diagnostics division.

During this time at Roche, Mark worked with MAS on product launches and co-marketing opportunities.  Additionally, he successfully launched Roche’s Glycemic Advisor Program, an educational resource for the implementation of Tight Glycemic Control in the hospital, a key area of focus for both Roche and MAS.
