When Medical Automation Systems Field Engineer John Chapman,
walked out of the Marcus Daly Medical Center in Hamilton,
Montana on April 9, 2004, it not only completed the 546th
installation of a RALS system, it also marked the 50th
state in which a system had been installed.
Since
the first installation in 1996, RALS has pioneered the way in
which hospitals capture and manage point-of-care test data.
In 2001, RALS-Plus became the first true, vendor
independent system for point-of-care testing.
Today, more than 500 hospitals use RALS technology and by
the end of 2004, that number is expected to reach more than 700.
The
state of Texas ranks first with the most RALS system
installations followed closely by California and Florida.
