• The system is in 4 hospitals and all 4 can be monitored from one site. This includes all meters, results and operators.
• RALS PLUS is very easy to operate and understand. I do all of the meter settings from the computer. The settings can be standardized or made specific for different floors, example: QC times, critical ranges, comments.
• Operators can have access to a few or all locations.
• Data can be sorted by several different categories and the report possibilities are numerous.
• For both the meters and the RALS system, customer support has been fantastic. I was given excellent support and training on both systems and that remains 2 years after the installation. I have gotten excellent technical and sales support for both systems.
• RALS has the potential for other instruments to be added and we are hoping to add the Signature Plus in the near future.
• The results are ordered by the system, can be charged and are posted in our Cerner computer system and on the patient’s chart under a point of care section. I have built in a comment that flashes when a critical value is obtained to remind them to recheck the result.
• Results automatically pass through unless they are flagged by the criteria I have defined. After I review, they can be posted or not uploaded, example: rechecks.
• The system has true operator and QC lockout."

We had no problems at all with the RALS  System (regarding a connectivity worm attack). They pointed me to the location of the patches and they were easy to update.

We have had no issues with our RALS PLUS system. MAS regularly applies the security patches provided by Microsoft and IT or myself updates the virus software.
