HAVE A DEVICE NOT ON OUR MENU?
You can visit our 'Wish List' page and request it or you can ask your Informatics Account Manager about the RALS Configurable Device Driver (CDD)!
Available in Version 8.2.0, the RALS Configurable Device Driver is a tool within the RALS system that enables connectivity to point of care devices that are not currently on the RALS device menu.
RALS Configurable Device Driver features and functionality:
- Connects point-of-care diagnostic test devices that utilize HL7 or ASTM data communication
- Provides uni-directional connectivity from the device to RALS
COMMUNICATION
Bi-directional Connectivity — In this two-way communication, the data manager can transmit data to the device in addition to receiving data from it. For example, depending on the device capabilities, the device can send results and other data to RALS, while RALS can send data such as operator lists, reagent lots, and device configuration to the device.
Uni-directional Connectivity — In this one-way communication, the data manager can only receive information from the device and cannot upload information to the device.
